The Matangi Island Resort kitchen is always abuzz, preparing a variety of styles of cuisine, including European, American, Indian, Chinese and Fijian. Matangi Island Resort is an all-inclusive resort of all of your meals which are included in the tariff, and Matangi ensures that you never go hungry. You can expect a variety of meats and vegetables during your stay. In a week's visit to Matangi Island's all inclusive resort. Expect beef, fish, shellfish, pork, chicken, and veal to be served. Many of Matangi's meals offer a variety of choices. The resort serves locally grown as well as imported vegetables. A large selection of Australian wines and champagnes from Matangi's cellar are available to accompany your meal. The traditional Fijian Lali drum announces the meal service (just in case you are too relaxed or too busy to notice). Soon you will become accustomed to the timing of your meals at the resort not by your watch, but to the beat of a drum. All of your meals are served from Matangi Island Resort's Dining Bure, with the exception of picnics, BBQ's and the resort's romantic dinners and lunches for two. As there is no other restaurant or cooking facility on the island, we have an all inclusive meal/accommodation plan which provides 3 daily meals along with some snacks. On your all-inclusive resort meal plan in the mornings, enjoy a leisurely breakfast to start your day. Select from a variety of fresh fruits, fresh fruit juices, breads, cereals, and of course, coffee and tea. Once seated, we will take your order for a fully cooked breakfast. Choose from eggs prepared any way you wish, breakfast meats, pancakes, and more. For lunch, you will enjoy anything from fresh salads, to hearty sandwiches, wonderful pizzas, and more. Your three course dinner usually offers several choices.
Buffet meals are occasionally served and may include a Fijian night, curry night, a pizza lunch, or a sandwich and salad lunch bar. We alternate buffet service with table service and offer a choice of entrees at those meals. |
